For teens in northern Israel, resilience is not a symbolic idea. It is something they have had to practice every day, overcoming the effects of sirens, evacuations, uncertainty, and the emotional weight of war. For a group of students from ORT Shlomi, healing came in an unexpected place: on a surfboard, in the water, learning to steady themselves against the waves.

4Elizabeth Welsh Joins Jewish Federation of St. Louis as Associate Vice President, Annual Campaign
We are pleased to welcome Elizabeth Welsh as our new Associate Vice President, Annual Campaign.
Welsh will help lead the organization’s Annual Campaign, which raised $10.6 million in 2025 to support programs and services that strengthen Jewish life in St. Louis, Israel, and around the world.
Welsh brings more than 11 years of nonprofit development and fundraising experience to the role, with a proven track record of building donor relationships, leading successful fundraising initiatives, and advancing mission-driven organizations.
